Streetwear brands will always hold a special place in our hearts here at Kubix, having worked with some of the UK’s biggest labels over the years. And whilst we might not all be able to pull off the bucket hat, our team does know a thing or two about building a great streetwear brand online. So when business owner and designer Walé Adeyemi approached us after a recommendation from Darren and Jay over at Hoodrich, our team sat up straight. Walé, for those who haven’t taken a trip to the capital recently, is something of a London streetwear sensation. Working near Brick Lane, the British designer has spent decades styling celebrities, and has even bagged himself an MBE for his services to fashion. Now heading up B-Side, a London streetwear brand for men and women alike, Walé has turned his attention to the punchy slogans, contrasting colours and urban detailing that mark all of the B-Side designs. And it’s hard to miss Walé’s personal stamp on the brand. Over the past few decades, Walé himself has styled up and designed for a celebrity following that looks like a Glastonbury line-up: from Beyonce to Alicia Keys; OutKast to the Spice Girls; Craig David to Tiana Major9. The A-lister names kept rolling in, and the more research we did, the more impressed we were.
